KIDS AND BABIES
Free to breathe. Free to hear, drink & sleep
We know how much you love watching your baby explore and experience the world around them. We also know how stressful it can be when your baby is feeling unwell and not breathing properly. As a parent, you worry about what you could do to help them.
Most newborns suffer from blocked noses in their early months of life, causing a lot of discomfort. It’s so common it has been named the “Sniffles”, cute as it sounds, it hinders your baby’s sleep and feeding patterns. They use their mouths to breathe when sleeping because their nose is blocked, and they can’t clear it of mucus themselves. Similarly, when feeding, they need the same mouth to feed and breathe, making the process of eating an ordeal for baby and mother.
So, what can you do for your baby to help them:
- Give your baby a pat on the back to relieve some chest congestion
- Cleanse their nose of excess mucus, inside and outside the nostrils
- Moisturise the nostrils using steam, to aid nasal dryness
- Rinse the nostrils with Saline and use an aspirator to clear the nose of the mucus
iliadin® Saline Nose Drops is suitable for infants and children.
It’s important to note that, if the symptoms continue, consult your Doctor or Pharmacist, and look out for other symptoms, like a change in your baby’s temperature.
